Emilio Cigars Draig Cayuquero

Today we have the Emilio Cigars Draig Cayuquero.  This cigar has a dark brown wrapper with a few visible veins and seems.  It comes in at 6 X 50.  After lighting the draw is slightly snug but putting out good smoke out put.  There is some pepper and spice on the draw and through the retro hale.  The finish has some earthy sweetness and a sweet cinnamon.  The finish flavors stay on the palate till the next draw and the cigar is at a medium body.  The burn is slightly wavy but not an issue through the first inch.

The cigar is burning very slow and with just over an inch and a half down we are at the 30 minute mark.  The draw is still producing adequate smoke output.  The flavors on the draw still are a pepper and spice.  The finish starts with a spicy note and finishes off with a earth, coffee and leather.  Every few draws the cinnamon will come back into play.  When the cinnamon does come back in, it dominates the other flavors and the entire finish.  The cigar has stayed very smooth and sweet to this point and is quite enjoyable.  The burn has required a touch up and remains a little wavy but does catch it self up every now and again.  The body has stayed at a medium but is starting to ramp up.

Half way through and the burn is still going slow, its been burning just over an hour.  The draw has stayed the same giving a good amount of smoke.  The draw flavor still have the pepper and spice and have added a cedar characteristic.  The finish flavors keep bouncing between the sweet earth, coffee, and leather.  The cinnamon has been fading away since the last update but does come back in every now and then in but fades fast.  A chocolate has started to creep in with the earth and coffee every couple draws and has formed a mocha that fades quickly but is a nice change of pace.  The burn has required another touch up and is still preforming well but not ideal.  The flavors stay on the palate long into the next draw and are at a solid medium to full in body.  A little strength has started to kick up as well.  Its not too powerful.  Its at a mild and is just letting me know its there but not causing any buzz or jitters.

At the 1 Hour and 58 minute mark most of the draw and finish flavors have been washed out by a warm almond and chard tobacco flavor, so I decided to call it quits.  The burn time on this cigar was fantastic delivering nearly two hours worth of smoke time.  The flavors were complex and kept my attention the entire time.  If you can find these, buy them and light them up with you have something special to celebrate, just make sure you have 2 hours of time to relax!

1502 Nicaragua Robusto... 1st video review

Today we have the 1502 Nicaragua in Robusto.  It comes in at 5 X 50. It has a light tan wrapper and is trunk pressed.  It has a partially closed foot and has no visible veins or seems.  The first half of the cigar had a creamy cedar and slight black pepper on the draw with a creamy cedar and baking spice on the finish.  The cigar didn't change a whole lot through out bud did add in some earth and leather throughout the experience.  I enjoyed this cigar and if it sounds like something you would enjoy give it a shot! Thanks for reading
and thanks for
watching!

Crowned Heads JD Howard Reserve Single Action LE 2015

Today we have the Crowned Heads JD Howard Reserve Single Action LE 2015.  This cigar has a dark brown wrapper with a no visible veins and a few visible seems and has a pigtail cap.  It comes in at 6 X 38.  At first light the draw is slightly snug and smoke out put is at a minimum.  The draw flavors are a spicy jalapeno flavor and pepper tingle sensation and a semi sweet cedar.  The finish moves back and forth between the jalapeno flavor and sweet cedar with some earthiness mixed in every few puffs.  The body is at a medium and seems to be holding firm for now.  The flavors stay on the palate till the next draw and the burn is razor sharp.  Construction has been perfect through the first inch.

Two inches down and not a lot has changed. The draw however has opened up and is now producing a large amount of smoke.  The jalapeno flavor and tingle sensation are dominating the draw flavors.  The finish is a creamy and sweet cedar with a nice earthiness to round out the flavors. The flavors are still staying on the palate long after the draw and the body is still at a medium. The burn is still razor sharp.  The construction is still perfect.

Three inches down and some flavor shifts start to happen.  The draw has the jalapeno flavor and tingle sensation.  The finish has the sweet creamy cedar and earth but a smoked wood note has come in on the tail end of the finish.  Every other draw or so the finish takes on some leather as well.  The cigar seems to be transitioning a little bit and has been preforming perfectly up to this point.  The draw is still producing large amounts of smoke.  The burn line continues to be razor sharp.

With just over an inch left the jalapeno and sweet cedar have become dominant on the draw and finish.  The leather and earth creep in every few puffs but are quickly dominated by the sweet cedar and jalapeno.  The cigar however is starting to get warm and mush.  I sat it down for the last time at the 1 hour and 22 minute mark.  This cigar preformed beautifully and did have some of the same aspects to the other cigars in the line. The main difference with this cigar as compared to the other cigars in the line is that the flavors seem to be more prominent and magnified.  I highly recommend this cigar if you can find it!

Outlaw Cigar Company Gunslinger Drifter in Toro

Today we have the Outlaw Cigar Company Gunslinger Drifter in Toro.  This cigar has a light brown wrapper and is box pressed.  It has no visible seems or veins.  It comes in at 6 X 52.  After lighting, the draw is slightly snug but is producing good smoke output.  The flavors on the draw are a sweet cedar with a aged tobacco note.  The finish has a black pepper flavor and tingle sensation followed by the sweet cedar and aged tobacco.  The burn through the first inch is slight wavy but not an issue up to this point.  The flavors are at a medium body and stay on the palate till the next draw.

Two inches down and things start to get interesting. The draw has opened up and is now producing large amounts of smoke output.  The draw flavor now is a black pepper flavor and tingle sensation with some sweet cedar.  The finish has a dark roasted coffee accompanied by a sweet caramel note at the tail end.  Every few puffs a earth and leather come in but fade fairly quickly.  All the flavors are smooth and leave a oily coating on the palate.  The flavors are now up to a medium to full and are more intense and stay on the palate long into the next draw.  The burn has evened out considerably and is now flawless for a box press stick.

Three inches down and some more flavor shifts occur.  The draw is still producing large amounts of smoke output.  The draw flavors have stayed the same as the last update with the black pepper flavor and tingle sensation and sweet cedar.  The finish is long and has the dark roasted coffee but has dropped the sweet caramel notes.  The earthiness has come up and is the dominating flavor.  It is mixing well with the coffee and every few puffs a mocha flavor comes in.  Its faint and does not last very long but is a nice desert like transition every few puffs.  The body is still at a medium to full and the burn is still preforming perfectly.

With just under two inches left the flavors have gone to a warm leather and chard tobacco on the draw and the finish has the black pepper tingle sensation accompanied by the warm leather and chard tobacco.  I sat the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 18 minute mark.  Overall, this was another delicious house cigar made for the Outlaw Cigar Company by the A.J. Fernandez factory! I have enjoyed every one that I have had.
