Just over an inch into the cigar and....WOW! Its impressing me. The draw is still giving off huge amounts of smoke! The draw flavors are still the black pepper flavor and tingle sensation. The finish has seen the creaminess in texture stay but the cedar has dropped off. A bold coffee and leather is now dominating the finish. The flavors are smooth but bold and rich. Every few puffs roasted nuts come into play and a hazelnut flavor is the result. Sometimes the leather completely dominates and sometimes the roasted nuts, coffee, and hazelnut are all that remain. The body is at a full and no strength has come in up to this point. The burn has remained razor sharp and burned through the slight crack near the foot with no issue.
Just over two inches and a chocolate note has come in on the finish. Its faint but adds in a sweet characteristic that mixes nicely with the creamy smoothness of the other flavors. The draw and burn still remain perfect and this cigar is quite impressive.
With one inch left, the burn is slighty wavy but not an issue. The cigar has takesn on a warm chard tobacco note. Its washed out all of the other flavors and dominates the palate. I set the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 5 minute mark. This cigar was delicious and impressed me with the complexity and construction. I will definitely be purchasing more of these as they will become a staple in my rotation, especially for the price point.
