An inch and a half has gone by and some flavor shifts occur. The black pepper has settled down on the draw and the retro-hale. The bitterness that accompanied the earth notes has dissipated. The earth has now taken on a cream component. The leather now comes in every few draws or so but is not a flavor that comes in every puff. A nice sweet espresso is now the new dominant flavor. It is being accompanied by a cedar note every now and then as well. It is a welcome change and a tasty one at that. The draw has opened up and is now only requiring one draw for proper smoke out put. The body is at a medium to full. The burn through the entire experience has been perfect.
With just over an inch to go I sat the cigar down in the ashtray for the last time. The final two inches or so saw the bitterness come back slightly and saw the leather kick back in on the draw and retro-hale. The overall smoke time was 1 hour and 8 minutes. Overall, this was a tasty cigar for the price. I didn't particularly care for the first third flavors but the cigar came alive with the sweet espresso and cedar notes that turned out to be quite tasty! For the price this is a great every day option if you enjoy any of the flavors I noted!
