Two inches down and some different flavors have emerged since the last update. The black pepper on the draw has backed off slightly. The sweet cedar is still present along with some leather. The finish is now bakers spice and almonds. The profile is getting increasingly sweet and thicker on the palate. The body is at a medium to full as the finish flavors are staying on the palate long into the next draw. The burn is still wavy but not an issue and has required no touch ups.
Three in one half inches down and everything has stayed the same for the most part. The finish has seen some coco nib notes come in and out every few puffs. Its a nice complement to the bakers spice and almond and sweet flavors the cigar had through the first two updates. The body is still medium to full and the burn remains good but not great!
With just over an inch left i sat the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 20 minute mark. Over all this cigar had great flavor. I loved the rich baking spice and almond notes. It wasn't the most complex cigar but the coco nib note that came in during the final few inches of the cigar were a welcome addition and complimented the overall experience. This years Angels Anvil was great as usual and right on par with the last releases.... all the releases have tasted different but have all been great cigars!
