Around an inch down and some flavors shifts occur. The draw is still producing TONES of smoke. The flavor on the draw has dropped the pepper. Cedar and a sweet earth have taken over. The finish continues with more cedar and sweet earth and have added in a semi sweet chocolate note. The flavors stay on the palate long into the next draw and is at a medium to full in body. The burn continues to be razor sharp. The cigar is burning slowly for its size and is giving a good smoke time.
Two and a quarter inches down and some more flavor changes are happening. On the draw a sweet earth dominates and the pepper is back but not as potent as before. The finish goes in this order: sweet earth, sweet coco and burnt caramel complemented by a slight black pepper blast at the end. The cigar has gone down in body but up in flavor. It has settled in at a solid medium body. The burn line remains razor sharp and has stayed that way the entire time.
With just over an inch left the cigar has gone warm and all that remains one the draw and finish is a sweet earth followed by a scorched tobacco flavor that is not enjoyable. This cigar had really good flavor and burned beautifully. I was hoping for a little more complexity for a 14 dollar cigar but it was a good smoking experience overall.
