Asylum 13 Oblongata Robusto

Today we have the Asylum 13 Oblongata Robusto.  This medium brown boxed pressed cigar has no visible veins or seems.  It come in at 5 X 50.  After lighting the draw is awesome, giving off great smoke out put.  The draw has some pepper spice.  Through the nose on the retro hale the pepper spice has a nice burn to it. A sweet cedar is also present.  On the finish the pepper spice is still present, along with the sweet cedar.  A very pungent leather note takes over the other flavors, but leaves the palate fairly quickly.  The body is at a mild to medium.  The burn through the first inch is razor sharp.

Two inches down and some changes have taken place.  The pepper spice has died down a little through the nose and on the draw.  The finish still has the pepper, sweet cedar, and leather.  A honey graham note has now taken over at the end of the draw.  The flavor is quite pleasant and tasty.  The body of the cigar is now up to a medium  The burn remains razor sharp and the overall construction has been excellent.

With just over an inch left most of the flavors have been washed out by a chard tobacco note.  I sat the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 12 minute mark, which is a great time for a robusto.  This cigar was very tasty especially with the honey graham note that it took on half way through.  For this price this is a cigar that anyone can and should enjoy!
