Crowned Heads Las Calaveras EL 2018 LC46

Today we have the Crowned Heads Las Calaveras EL 2018.  This cigar has a dark brown oily and toothy wrapper with no visible veins or seems.  It comes in at 5 5/8 X 46.  After lighting, the draw is producing a large amount of smoke output.  The draw favors have some black pepper spice at a medium tingle sensation through the nose on the retro-hale.  The black pepper mixes with some cedar and earth. The finish has some coffee notes come in as the back pepper, cedar, and earth start to fade to the background.  The cigar is at a medium in body.  The burn through the first inch was razor sharp.

Three inches down and all the draw and finish flavors have remained the same with a few new additions. Some nutmeg and sweet milk chocolate flavors are mixing with the black pepper for a sweet and spicy combo on the finish.  Its a nice flavor that definitely keeps things interesting.  The body is now up to a medium to full.  The burn line remains perfect as well as the draw.

With just over an inch to go most of the flavors have been washed out by a warm black pepper and earthiness.  I sat the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 4 minute mark.  Overall this was a tasty cigar that had some interesting flavors.  It wasn't extremely complex but did have some changes in flavor and it was tasty.
