Just over an inch down and some flavor shifts occur. The draw still has the sweet earthiness. The retro-hale has seen a unique zesty pepper and BBQ note develop. The finish still has the sweet earth. A light leather note has comes in every few puffs. The dominant flavor on the finish however is a sweet and creamy mocha. The chocolate notes are rich and very delicious. There are times that the mocha is so heavy you would almost think the cigar was infused with mocha flavor, even though its not. The body is up to a medium. The burn is still razor sharp.
Four inches down and not much has changed. The retro-hale and draw flavors remain the same, with the zingy black pepper and BBQ note on the retro-hale. The mocha note does get disrupted by the light leather note every few puffs. When the mocha note is dominating the finish its delicious and I have to watch my self to make sure I don't take to many draws and overheat the cigar! The body is up to a medium to full body. The burn and draw have been perfect throughout.
With just over an inch left the cigar started to get warm and I sat the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 33 minute mark. Overall, this was a great representation of a delicious sweet and rich chocolaty maduro! I love the perfecto size! This is a extremely limited release with only around 4100 cigars produced. If you can find them, buy them without delay you will not be disappointed!
