CAO Amazon Basin

Today we have the CAO Amazon Basin.  This cigar has a medium dark brown wrapper.  It has a few visible veins and no visible seems.  It features a smoke-able tobacco band.  It comes in at 6 X 52.  After lighting the draw is slightly snug but producing good smoke output.  On the draw there is a black pepper zing and flavor with a dirty earthiness.  The finish continues the dirty earth and black pepper and is accompanied by a raisin sweetness.  The flavors stay on the palate till the next draw.  The body is at medium.  The burn line is razor sharp through the first inch.

Two inches down and only a few things change on the finish.  The draw still has the dirty earth and the black pepper flavor and tingle sensation.  The finish sees the black pepper and dirty earth die down slightly.  The sweet raisin flavor still comes in every few puffs but is no longer the main flavor on the finish.  Its being replaced by a creamy coco nib flavor.  The body is now at a medium to full.  The burn remains razor sharp.

With just under an inch and a half left I sat the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 38 minute mark.  The cigar didn't change flavors for the entire second half of the cigar but did pick up strength slightly.  Overall, it was a tasty and unique cigar.  I cant remember another cigar that had a flavor combo that tasted quite like this one.
