Cuban Aristocrat Habano Robusto

Today we have the Cuban Aristocrat Habano.  This medium brown oily cigar has no visible veins or seems.  It comes in at 5 X 50.  After lighting, the draw is fairly snug but is producing average smoke output.  The draw flavor has a big black pepper blast initially.  The retro hale shows a bold black pepper and spice as well. The finish is an earthy core with black pepper and sweet tobacco notes. The flavor stays on the palate till the next draw and is at a medium in body.  The burn is slightly wavy through the first inch and did require a small touch up.

Two inches down and not much has changed.  The draw has opened up slightly but is requiring a double puff to get good smoke output.  The black pepper flavor and tingle sensation has subsided on the draw.  They're still there but not nearly as intense.  The finish is a spicy cedar, earth, and light coco note.  The body is still at a medium.  The burn continues to be wavy but not an issue.

With just over an inch left the cigar got warm and mushy and the flavors were washed out by a chard tobacco flavor.  I sat the cigar down for the last time at the 52 minute mark which is a good time for a robusto.  Overall, this was an enjoyable cigar with fairly typical flavors. It wasn't very complex and was a straight shooter.  It would be a good morning cigar with a coffee.  It does offer a good value, coming in at $4.00 dollars a cigar.
