One inch down and the draw has has started to open up and the cigar has come alive. Smoke output is now normal. The draw still has the sweet earth and black pepper. The finish now has a dark chocolate, or bakers chocolate note. The retro-hale has seen the black pepper come up in strength. The flavors are starting to get richer and more substantial on the palate. The finish flavors are staying on the palate longer now and the body is up to a medium. The burn remains razor sharp.
Just over two inches in and and some more changes happen. The draw flavors have remained unchanged. The finish has added in a cream flavor. It is a nice compliment to the sweet earth, black pepper, and bakers chocolate. A few more puffs and a light roast coffee comes in as well. The flavors are combining for a chocolate espresso flavor. The flavors are very dessert like and very rich. The body is up to a medium to full. The burn remains razor sharp.
With just over an inch left a leather and chard tobacco flavor is all the remain and the cigar is starting to get warm and mushy. I sat it down for the last time at the 1 hour an 18 minute mark, which is an excellent burn time for the size. Overall this is a decadent cigar with great flavor and complexity. I highly recommend it!
