Just over an inch and a half in and some flavor changes happen. The draw still has the zesty earth and back pepper. The heat through the retro hale remains at a medium. The Finish continues the black pepper and zesty earth. The new main note on the finish is black coffee. The coffee note comes in after the other flavors on the finish and is the only flavor that stays till the next draw. The body of the cigar is up to a medium full and all the flavors are getting richer and more substantial on the palate. The burn remains razor sharp.
With just over an inch to go all the flavors remain. A leather note has started to come in at the tail end of the finish and is the new flavor that lasts till the next draw. The body stayed consistent at a medium to full throughout that last half of the cigar. At the 1 hour mark the cigar started to get warm and mushy and the flavors started to get washed out by a chard tobacco flavor. Overall, this was a nice zesty earth and coffee noted cigar. It wasn't very complex with the flavors were tasty and moving from coffee to leather at the end kept it interesting. I recommend this cigar to those who are trying to move into something more full bodied but with approachable flavors that will not crush your palate.
