Camacho Imperial Stout Toro

Tonight we have the Camacho Imperial Stout Toro.  This dark brown cigar has no visible veins or seems and comes in at 6 X 50.  After lighting the draw is perfect.  The draw flavors are a nice sweet earthiness and black pepper.  The retro hale has a medium burn through the nose and a nice leather note comes in as well.  The finish is sweet earth, oak, black pepper, and leather.  A lot is going on with this cigar so far.  The body is at a medium to full.  The burn is razor sharp and is producing a tight white ash.

Just over two inches down and that beautiful tight white ash is still holding on strong.  The draw is still perfect.  The draw flavor and the retro hale remain unchanged from the first light update.  The changes have happened on the finish.  The finish flavors still consist of the sweet earthiness, oak, and black pepper but the leather is now coming in and out every few draws.  When it is not present its replaced by a sweet coffee and chocolate.  The coffee is faint and fades quickly, but every now and then the chocolate dominates the entire finish, dominating all other finish notes.  The body is still medium full and the burn is as razor sharp is it could possibly be.

With just over an inch left I sat the cigar down for the last time at the 1 hour and 20 minute mark.  The cigar started to get warm and mushy and the delightful sweet flavors that had been present were being washed away by warm chard notes.  Overall, this cigar was great!  It was sweet, and tasty.  One of the best maduro's I've smoked in along time.  I highly recommend tracking this one down.  I will be buying a box and making sure to keep these in my rotation for a long time to come!
