Just over an inch down and some flavors start to develop. The draw still has a fairly potent black pepper tingle sensation, especially through the retro-hale. The black pepper flavor shows up on the finish, as does the sweet creamy cedar and earthiness. The light roast coffee is fading but does come back every few draws or so. A leather and raisin flavor have developed. The flavors are mixing nicely with the sweet cedar and earthiness. The flavors so far have been complex and very tasty. The body is still at a medium to full. The ash hangs on only about an inch or so and then drops off. The burn remains razor sharp.
Three inches down and some changes in body start to happen. All the draw and finish flavors mentioned in the last update are still present. They are starting to intensify. The flavors have all become very rich and distinct. A bakers spice has started to come in and is very much present on the nose through the retro-hale. The bakers spice is a nice addition to the sweet cedar, earthiness, and leather. The body is now up to a full and a bit of strength has also come in. Its a mild strength making me a little jittery as if I just had some caffeine. The burn remained razor sharp throughout the entire smoking experience.
With just under two niches left the cigar started to get to warm for my liking. I sat it down for the last time at the 1 hour and 42 minute mark. Overall this was a great cigar that was very complex and had great construction. The burn time was also excellent! Give this one a shot and you will not be disappointed.
